GRAND
OPENING
When Roy Niederer is precariously perched
high up on a tail telephone pole attaching
wires and glass insulators on a crossarm, he
often thinks of his part in extending the net
work of telephone service.

Roy is proud of his company and the fact
that he and his fellow workers made it possi
ble to bring telephone service to on additional
10,855 stations to date this year.

Since every telephone in a community must
be connected to a switchboard in the central
office by wire and cable, Roy and his co-
workers are d o in j their part to get that wire
and cable up as ast as possible.
