Every great event must have a setting—and what a setting this is for Queen Joane I and her
court to be crown, and to reign. This view is taken, looking toward the “overlook” where
the coronation of the queen will take place.
While the early spring has “forced” azaleas to a stage of blooming a little past their peak,
still there remain many bushes which will display the beauty that is peculiar only to this
park. These shrubs are estimated to be over four hundred years oldo.
