‘Are Sin. Disease and Death
R eal?” was the subject of the
Lesson-Sermon in all Churches
of Christ. Scientits, on Sunday,
October 13.
The Golden Text was, "In the
way of righteousness is life; and
in the pathw ay therof there is
no death" (Prov, 12:28».
Among the citations which com
prised the Lesson-Sermon was the
following from the Bible: “The
Lord will perfect that which con-
cerneth m e : ty mercy, O Lord,
endureth for ever: forsake not
the works of thin own hands"
iPs. 138:8».
The Lesson-Sermon also includ
ed the following correlative nas-
sages from the C hristian Science
textbook. "Science and Health
with Kev to the S criptures” by
Mary Baker Eddy: "Expose and
denounce the claims of evil and
disease in all their forms, but re
alize no reality in them. To put
’down the claim of sin, you must
detect it, remove the mask, point
out the illusion, and thus get
the victory over sin and so prove
its unreality" (p. 447).
