In some respects this has been
a discouraging garden year in
Oregon because of the wet early
springg and the extremely dry-
late spring, but on soils that s till
have a good moisture supply or
where irrig a tio n is available, gar-
dens planted now w ill s till pro
duce a good supply of staple veg-
etbles.
