Pilot Welcomes Letters To The Editor
In the last two issues of the Pilot, letters have come in from
readers, giving their views on certain things about the community. J
Right here, the Pilot wants it known that these letters, signed, are
welcome, and space w ill be given to any le tte r which has something
constructive to offer to the remainder of the readers.
This is still America, and people have the ir own rights of opin-
iOn, as well as the right to express these opinions. It makes no differ- !
ence, either, if these letters contain ideas which coincide w ith those
expressed by the Pilot all w ill be given space. However, it may
appear, right in the next column, a return opinion which may re
fute those expressed by the letters.
Under the bill of rights, the United States constitution guaran
tees its citizens the right of free press, free speech, free schools, etc.
The Pilot make absolutely no exceptions to any of these rights
There are, however, some things the P ilot wishes it readers
would refrain in directing letters to the editor. F irst among these
would be any controversial remark regarding religion; about char
acter ot any citizen, although criticism of actions of any person
open for discussion. Please use these Columns if you wish.
