The cinema universe just hasn’t found another
world-building genius like Jim Henson. Henson has
created legends that have surpassed its creator
like Kermit the Frog, Yoda (let’s not talk about his
CGI portrayal) and Big Bird. And The Jim Henson
Company went on to make great films like Labyrinth,
The Muppet Christmas Carol and The Muppet
Movie. Springfilm On the Move Presents The
Dark Crystal. The film, which explores the more
dark side of Henson’s creations, begins a 1,000 years
after the Dark Crystal of Thra cracked, which leaves
the land under the cruel Skeksis. Jen, raised by the
noble race called the Mystics and the last survivor of
his own race, the Gleflings, ventures out to find the
shard of the dark crystal to bring about balance in
the universe.
