Move on over bears, beets and Battlestar Galactica. There’s a new b-phrase in town, and it’s the 4th Annual
Bacon, Bluegrass and Boneyard Beer Fest. The four-day event brings together bacon-centered food truck
menus, Boneyard beers and local bluegrass groups. Food trucks at Beergarden have unveiled a sneak peek into the
bacon dishes: poki bowls with candied bacon, croissant BLTs, bacon mac n’ cheese and a pork belly plate. Of course,
Boneyard, which is based in Bend, will dominate the bar. The draft list is as long as Santa’s naughty or nice list. So
far, the brew list includes IPAs, sours, stouts and pale ales. And, groups like Moonlight Jubilee, Breakers Yard and
Corwin Bolt and the Wingnuts will take the stage at night.
The annual beer fest event is 7:30 to 9:30 pm Thursday, Feb 21; Friday and Saturday 5 to 9:30 pm; and 4 to 6 pm
Sunday, Feb. 25. The beer fest takes over Beergarden, located at 777 W. 6th Avenue. FREE. — Henry Houston
