What’s more cute and holiday-centric than getting together with
family and friends to see The Nutcracker? How about seeing The
Nutcracker with a cast of all kids? The Oregon Ballet Foundation
and Oregon Ballet Academy are coming together to present The
Children’s Nutcracker. The show is directed and choreographed
by John Grensback of the School of American Ballet, New York
City Ballet, Joffrey Ballet and Houston Ballet, so you can expect
to be in for a treat. The show takes place this weekend, with
multiple performances, so there will be plenty of options to see
the Sugar Plum Fairy and the Land of Sweets.
Catch The Children’s Nutcracker at 2 pm and 7 pm Saturday,
Nov. 25, and 1 pm and 6 pm Sunday, Nov. 26. The show takes
place at Lane Community College’s Auditorium at its main cam-
pus (4000 E. 30th Avenue). Tickets are $15 for adults and $12
for children ages 12 and under. For more info and to purchase
tickets, visit OregonBalletAcademy.com. — Meerah Powell
