Something wicked awesome this way comes. Red Raven
Follies and Cabaret de Caliente team up for a burlesque
performance that marries the mind-bending horror sci-fi
series The Twilight Zone with George Romero’s pulped-up
’80s fright buffet Creepshow. This weekend, “Twilight
Zone vs. Creepshow!” lures performers from as far away
as San Francisco to share the stage with some of the best
local burlesquers at Sam Bonds Garage. To make matters
worse, the Red Raven Follies invite you to “get weird” with
them by competing in what they are calling the “Oddite-
ase Costume Contest”; come dressed in “your strangest,
most obscure, creepiest costume inspired by The Twilight
Zone or Creepshow” and let the spectacle carry you away
to a dimension of not only sight and sound, but of mind,
whose only boundaries are that of imagination.
The Red Raven Follies and Cabaret de Caliente present
“Twilight Zone vs. Creepshow!” burlesque at 9 pm Satur-
day, April 23, at Sam Bond’s Garage, 407 Blair Blvd.; $12.
