Lane Community College’s Women in Transition program has
helped thousands of women in challenging situations attain
education throughout the past 25 years, and an upcom-
ing fundraiser will assist in adding to that count. “Side by
Side, by Side” (a nod to a Stephen Sondheim composition)
includes performances from three of Eugene’s fi nest choral
groups: Eugene Peace Choir, Soromundi Lesbian Chorus of Eu-
gene and In Accord. The concert features an enormous range
of selections, from pop to classical to gospel, and proceeds
will help women achieve their goals as they start new paths
in life. Go for the cause, stay for the awesome choral music.
“Side by Side, by Side” is 3pm Sunday, March 16, at Ragozzino
Performance Hall, LCC Main Campus. $10. — Amy Schneider
