CALENDAR
If Up was a story of an elderly man having grand adventures, then
The Triplets of Belleville is its slightly stranger counterpart, fea-
turing an elderly woman in her quest to rescue her grandson from
mafi a henchmen. The third in a series of cartoons for adults at Wil-
lamalane, this movie isn’t necessarily for kids: It was the fi rst PG-13
movie to be nominated for an Academy Award in the category
of Best Animated Feature. Generally described as quirky,
richly animated and charming, The Triplets of Belleville
is just the sort of surreal cartoon to watch on a drizzly
Wednesday afternoon.
