Fans of the FX television show
“The League” are in for a treat
this week, as comedian Steve
Rannazzisi hits McDonald
Theatre. Though he cut his tele-
vision teeth alongside Ashton
Kutcher on “Punk’d” — that old
MTV show that went downhill
after they ran out of decent
celebrities to prank — Ran-
nazzisi is actually something of
a veteran stand-up act; after all,
it was his stand-up that landed
him the role on MTV. But more
importantly, he found his roots
and learned the business by
working as a doorman — that’s
right, ground-up style — for
huge entertainers such as
Eddie Griffi n and Joe Rogan. So
if you’re wondering who this
fella with the diffi cult name
plastered all over the McDonald
Theatre is, remember: he’s far
more than that, and he’ll prob-
ably even make you laugh.
Steve Rannazzisi performs at
8pm Wednesday, Feb. 27, at
McDonald Theatre; $20-$25.
