This Saturday, the Science Factory
Children’s Museum and Planetarium
will host a team of educators from the
Cascades Raptor Center for the annual
Bird of Prey Day. The majesty of fl ying,
masterful hunters from above is quite
often shrugged off with the notion that
“birds are boring,” but think again, kids
— these birds can spot a teenie-weenie
little mouse from the freakin’ sky! And
even if your eyes were that good, you
sure wouldn’t be agile enough to swoop
down and pick up your dinner in a
glorious display of fi nesse and natural
selection. This educational day will
feature fun, family-oriented learning
time, demonstrations and, of course,
live feathered friends. Caaaawwww!
