CORRECTIONS/CLARIFICATIONS
• In our “One Person’s Trash” story last week we wrote that NextStep Recycling
provides free laptops to disadvantaged students, but Executive Director Lorraine
Kerwood tells us the grants through the ePower Program are actually for desktop
computers, and include an LCD monitor, keyboard, mouse, speakers and software.
• In the editor’s note last week following Anae Rosenberg’s letter, the name
“Stahl” should read “O’Toole.” It was Randal O’Toole who received the OEC and
ONRC awards, not Andy Stahl.
• In Mark Harris’ column last week, an editor incorrectly added “Corey” to the
name Angela near the end. The sentence should have read: “Thus, like Angela said in
the CNN interview, it is to that larger structure we should pay attention.” The refer-
ence was intended to be Angela Davis. “I was following a convention in black dis-
course of identifying well known black people by their first name, particularly if you
know them,” says Harris. “Angela singular is always Angela Davis.” Angela Corey
is the prosecutor in the George Zimmerman murder case.
