Shernnon Malcomb, my only son, died June 19, 2010.
My son’s death was unexpected and not the result of a staph infection, as is being
reported by some individuals. He died in his home on Maui under suspicious
circumstances.
The Coroner report states THE MANNER OF MY
SON’S DEATH IS UNRESOLVED.
If you have, or know anyone who has, information that might assist
in resolving the manner of my son’s death, please contact his mother:
e-mail,rsfairclo@earthlink.net.
He was raised in Klamath Falls, Or. and attended Roosevelt, Keno, Mills,
Ponderosa, KU schools. He played kids sports, (skateboarding, bicycling, base-
ball); he played Jr. high football, track; high school pole vault; city league ten-
nis/volleyball. He did some break dancing and performed on stage at a KF’s
Catholic church (I understand this was fi lmed), and the YMCA, and taught break
dancing at the Y. He graduated LCC, and U. of O. (with honors) with a M.Ed.
He taught school in Eugene/surrounding areas. As a local teacher he coached
JV volleyball. Summers he coached little league soccer, basketball. He played
city league soccer, volleyball. He played the drums and guitar. He loved snow-
boarding, golfi ng, and especially windsurfi ng at the Columbia Gorge and North
Shore, Maui. He moved to Maui in early 2000, was employed full-time as a
highly qualifi ed math and immersion teacher at a local high school. He earned
his Hawaii State Teachers and Special Education Licenses while residing there.
He was loved and admired by his students. If you have newspaper write-ups,
clippings, photos of him at any age, as a team member, or at other gatherings,
etc., or if you have stories to share with me about my son, or ANY information,
I would be most grateful.
