❊ Pet of the Week ❊
Rescued Cat of the Week
Everybody deserves a good home
Hi everyone, Pip
here to remind
you that adult cats
are also in need
of forever homes
during “kitten
season”! Many
beautiful, well
behaved adult
cats sit unnoticed
in shelters even though they can often be better
choices for families than out of control kittens.
Always look at the option of adopting a teenager or
adult when you are adding a furry family member!
This is “Lily”, 5 ½
year old female Hound
mix, who was originally
found as a stray by an-
other shelter.
When
her owners were con-
tacted, they decided they
didn’t want to care for
her anymore. Lily was
transferred to Greenhill
as part of our 2nd chance program. This sweet lovely
lady does well with other dogs, but has no history with
cats. She also likes children, but shelter staff recom-
mends ages 5 years and older.
She should go to a
home with a large fenced back yard (as Hounds like
to follow their noses!) and get daily walks. At 37 lbs,
Lily is a bit underweight due to her time on the streets,
but with the right family and TLC, she’ll be back to her
normal weight in no time with more than enough love
