year. Tree Colored See is really dreamy, psychedelic
folk with Nobody beats.
Spank Rock, YoYoYoYoYoYo (Big Dada)
Spank Rock's triple x-plosive (and tightly produced)
debut album was enough to make me drive my booty to
Portland twice this year to shake it at their live show.
Hot Chip, The Warning (DFA)
Hot Chip will break your legs / snap off your head / Hot
Chip will put you down / under the ground.
Cosmo Baker, Love Breaks 2 (White)
Cosmo Baker schooled me with his sample lesson, Love
Breaks 2. Learn where Dilla, Dre and Kanye got it with
this 74 minute mix of classic soul. Not to mention it's
nice music for sexy time. High five!
B. Cause and Max Kane, Night of the Remix (White)
B. Cause also put out a really great rare soul compilation this year with Matthew Africa entitled Soul
Boulders. But Night of the Remix slam dunks remix disc of the year. B. and Max Kane flip a lot of enter-
taining and unusual blends that work perfectly. All I gotta say is George Michael and Three Six Mafia.
Justice, Waters of Nazareth EP (Ed Banger)
Ed Banger Records owned dance music in '06. Waters of Nazareth
was unlike anything I'd heard. I must have played the title track a
gazillion times after I got this. Full length due sometime next year.
Tapes ’n Tapes, The Loon (XL Recordings)
The Loon is extremely catchy and loopable ... (and the singer, Josh
Grier, is from Eugene.)
Ghostface Killah, Fishscale (Def Jam)
Big year for Ghostdeini! The Ironman put out two albums and
toured. “Beauty Jackson” is my favorite hip hop track of 2006.
Straight poetry over one of J Dilla’s Donuts!
Justin King, The Raging Family Le Bleu Sessions
Raging Family chopped up and obliterated Justin King's album into
something that I like to listen to. "Mill Creek" sounds like an Oregon
hike. "Especially You" is probably my favorite song by a local artist.
Marv Ellis, Underwater Not Underground
Local emcee Marv Ellis closed out this year by dropping a solid,
conscious album that is 100 percent homegrown hip hop. Only had
this CD for a few weeks, but I already like it enough to mention.

Health is Achieved by Intention. The rich are unable to buy it. The poor are unable to have it
given to them. Only those that desire health and ACT on that desire with intention will attain it.
Health is a choice…and the choices we make
create who we are as individuals. It is our
vision to develop lasting relationships with
every member of our practice, create with
them a lifetime strategy for their dental health,
and treat them comprehensively in a manner
congruent with their values. Make the choice
to call today and experience the extraordinary
people and unique setting that only Wellness
Centered Dentistry can provide.
