QUESTION: Shall the Welches School District establish a tax base of
$900 000 to become effective on July 1. 1983’
PURPOSE: The purpose of the measure is to increase the tax base of
Clackamas County School District No 13 from $524 047 to $900 000 It is
submitted in accordance with Article XI. Section 11 of the Oregon Con­
stitution
Tne tax base increase is needed to support the educational programs for
the district's children The tax base will fund the district's programs tor three
years without referral to a special levy If the measure is approved the new
tax base amount will qualify for tax relief

Submitted to the legal voters of said district
TAX BASE ELECTION
QUESTION: Shall a tax base of $2,592 S75 00 be established tor Sandy
Elementary School District No 46 Sandy Oregon’
PURPOSE: This measure establishes a $2,592 075 00 tax base pursuant to
Article XI. Section 11. of the Oregon Constitution The district does not have
an existing tax base The measure grants permanent tax levy authority
granting the school board to levy not more than $2,592,875 00 beginning
with the fiscal year 1983- 84 In future years, the levy cannot be increased by
more than 6% of the tax base without voter approval
The Sandy Elementary District offers free public education for approxi­
mately 1.500 children from grades one through eight The district has no tax
base and therefore, the dollar amount is zero The district cannot operate a
fiscal year without property tax income
Currently, this district receives partial state funding only on an
