be held Saturday. Oct 23,
at 11 a m in the chapel of
Sandy Funeral Home
Mrs Wilbanks died Oct
14 at her Sandy home She
was 67
Born Lucile Margaret
Doolittle on Jan IS. 1915 in
Glendive. Mont., the family
moved to the Northwest
when she was 9 years old
They lived in the Portland
and Vancouver, Wash ,
areas where she received
her education
She married Francis W
Wilbanks in 1940 They liv ­
ed at Toutle. Wash., where
they raised th e ir five
children
They moved to Sandy in
1974 and Mrs Wilbanks
later became a member of
the Sandy Senior Center
She enjoyed spending her
tim e doing h a n d ic ra ft
work
Her husband preceded
her in death in 1980
She is survived by her
children, William Howell,
Roy Wilbanks and Gary
W ilb a n k s ,
a ll
in
Washington, and Joyce
Cady of Troutdale, two
sisters. Ruth Wilbanks and
Elizabeth, both of Boring.
13 grandchildren, and three
great-grandchildren

is seeking participants for
a D istrict Mathematics
Curriculum Committee
The committee will be in­
volved in a year long study
of the district’s math pro-
gram, including adoption
of instructional materials
for use between 1982 and
1989. and revamping cur­
riculum to align it with
state standards

Thomas O. Thompson, 84,
were held Oct 13 at Forest
Lawn Memorial Park in
Gresham
Mr Thompson died Oct
10 at the home of his son in
Canby
He was born April 29,
1898 in Alton, Mo., to the
late Thomas and Elizabeth
Thompson He moved to
Oregon in 1944, living in
'Sutherlin, McMinnville and
Sandy for several years
He moved to Canby in May
of this year Mr Thompson
had worked as a machinist
during World War I but
most of his life was devoted
to farming
His wife, Ila, whom he
married in 1924 at Alton
preceded him in death in
1973
He is survived by six
sons, Oval and Jack, both
of Molalla, Lloyd of Canby,
Floyd of Oregon City. Max
of Portland and Sherman of

ingshead of Tulsa, Okla ,
Ruth Cole of Sutherlin and
Joyce Johnson of Portland;

Community Hospital She
was 63
She was born July 13,
1919 in Portland and lived
in Oregon all her life. She
attended schools in Dover
and Oak G rove and
graduated from Sandy
High School. She was a
devoted wife and step­
mother and enjoyed her-
country life
Survivors include her
husband. George Franklin
Rambo, two step-sons,
Patrick Brady Rambo and
Joey Franklin Rambo, both
of Portland and one step-
grandson
Burial was at Forest
Lawn Memorial Park in
Gresham
