High school sets registration times
School bells w ill toll soon
and Sandy Union High
School officials are ready­
ing for the day when
students return from sum­
mer vacation
To prepare for the new
school year, registration
and scheduling dates have
been set for new and retur
mng students
According to Dick H ar­
rison. director of student
services, all incoming and
re tu rn in g students w ill
receive a schedule and in­
structions in the mail If
that schedule is accep­
table. a students w ill only
need to sign the schedule
and register
Registration gets under­
way next Wednesday. Aug
18. for freshmen and new
students from noon to 8
p m Sophomores, juniors
and s e n io rs w ith no
schedule changes may con­
firm their schedules and
register Thursday and F ri­
day. Aug 19 and 20
Thursday's session w ill
be noon to 8 p m ; Friday,
registration w ill be 8 a m.

w ill be paid, lockers w ill be

The closure of Sandy
Public Library to link up
with a countywide library
computer system has been
delayed
According to Librarian
Sue Newlands, the delay
was caused the failure of
some needed equipment to
arrive from the vendor at
the county library head
quarters As a result, the
closure has been postponed
