The Mt Hood Pre School
Co-op Inc. will hold its
fourth annual auction Satu
day, May 22 at 5 p m at the
Women's Club in Zigzag
Mt. Hood businesses, as
well as Sandy merchants,
have donated a generous
supply of merchandise to
assist the school in holding
what is expected to be its
best auction ever.
Those attending will be
able to bid on lodging for
two for two nights at
T im b e rlin e Lodge, two
nights at Sunriver, and two
nights at the Inn at Otter
Crest on the Oregon coast
Merchandise includes a
four place setting from
Dave Enna, local potter, an
above the ground swimm
ing pool, savings bonds,
bunk beds and other fur
n itu r e , tw o F r a n k lin
woodstoves. tires, hand
made clothes and crafts,
new clothes, baby furniture
and equipment, restaurant
meals for establishments
in both Hoodland and San
dy and more.
“ A most special item to
be auctioned this year is a
grocery cart full of food.
Hoodland fire district
budget hearing set
The proposed budget of
the Hoodland Rural Fire
District for the coming
year will be presented to
the budget committee at a
hearing scheduled June 8.
Fire Chief Don Arm in
trout said the meeting will
be held at the district's
main station in Zigzag, and
will begin at 7 30 p m
The proposed $337.060
operating budget is within
the 8 percent limitation and
therefore will not have to
go before the voters of the
district for approval, said
Arnuntrout.

school that was formed ten
years ago and serves as a
resource center where
mothers of pre-school age
children can come and
share ideas and discuss
their common concerns

from school who were not
immunized by the April 21
deadline
Oregon law requires that

ed against measles, polio,
rubella and tetanus by that
date.
They were given two
weeks to get the required
shots or be excluded from
attending school.
Dietderich said that he
does not think any of the
students were out of schixil
longer than three days
He said that all of the 330
students attending the
