Sandy swimmer
wins in the kick
A number of swimmers
did well at a Sextathalon
sponsored by the Eastmont
Aquatic Club at Reynolds
High School Saturday and
Sunday
E ac h s w im m e r p a r­
ticipated in six events, in­
c lu d in g fre es tyle (tw o
lengths), breast stroke,
butterfly, back stroke and
an individual medley com­
prised of all four strokes.
Awards were based on
cumulative times for all six
events.
Those who placed include
Damon Hodge, who was
first in the 8 and under boys
division. Michelle Crane,
who was fourth in the 9-10
girls division, Ian Hodge,
who was seventh in the 9-10
boys division, and Richard
Rolph, who was fourth in
the 13 14 boys division.
Coach Carl Neuenfeldt
said an outstanding perfor­
mance was turned in by
Gaylord Miller, who drop­
ped 24 seconds off his
previous best times He
competed in the 9-10 boys
division
Miller's personal bests
included a 3:03 3 200 free, a
34 .57 50 free, a 47 06 50 fly
and a 1 32 48 100 individual
medley
Team advances to round 3
Patsy Wesselink and
Tracy Tor'.e turned in three
good matches in doubles
play at the district meet
before calling it a season
Hodge was also credited
with swimming well He

stroke for the first place

three personal bests and
was credited for swimming
competitively
Her personal bests in­

The district meet, held

Tennis Center, was the
final competition for Sandy
as no one survived past the
