sports medicine clinic on Monday nights, from 6:15 to 8
p m , and on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays
from 9:30 to 11 a m This is an open clinic. No appoint
ment is necessary It is open to injured athletes of
school age, whether or not they have insurance
coverage, according to Leo M arty. PSU's head athletic
trainer, and the clinic director
At the clinic, athletes are seen by orthopedic physi
cians, a trainer, and physical therapists Recommen
dations for treatment are made and further care is fo r
warded to the athlete's fam ily physician and coach A
w ritten note is given to athletes to give their coach or
tra in e r
A ll coaches and trainers are welcome to bring
athletes and participate in their care and prevention of
sports injuries, says Marty.
