Fawbush reviews legislative session
The 1981 session of the
Oregon Legislature was the
longest in the state's history
as legislators wrestled with
funding and budgeting ques
tions
W hile m on eta ry con
siderations got the majority
of the spotlight, a number of
good bills came out of the
marathon session, according
to Rep Wayne Fawbush,
I) Hood River, who will con
tinue to represent Sandy un
til January 1983 when new
legislative districts become
effective
“ The most important bill
to come out of this session,”
said Fawbush, “ is the bill to
continue LCDC, the Land
Conservation and Develop
ment Commission.”
He said LCDC has been
subjected to much criticism
since it began in 1973.
however, those criticism s
should be taken care of with
action taken in the 1981 ses
