Clackamas Community
College stands to lose
$296,542 in anticipated state
revenues during the 1981 82
school year, according to
John Hakanson, president.
The 7.2 percent cut in state
funding is the final figure
after the 1981 I/egislature
restored 2 8 percent of the
funds from Gov VicAtiyeh's
originally proposed 10 per
cent cut in community col
lege funds
Hakanson noted th a t
although the cuts w ill con
stitute only 2 5 percent of the
c o lle g e 's g en eral fund
budget of $13 2 million, the
college will have to make
cuts in its operating ex
penses
He suggested cuts would
likely occur in classes, the
T im b e rla k e Job Corp,
research and staff develop
Tnent funds and through
g e n e ra l b e lt-tig h te n in g
throughout the college
