City of Sandy coffers are
$19,550 47 richer as the result
of the State Highway D ivi
sion dispersal of highway
user tax funds to Oregon's
incorporated cities
The Highway Division has
distributed more than $9 8
million since the first of the
year to cities for use in local
road and street programs.
The allocation is based on
the statutory 12.17 percent,
and has a lre a d y been
distributed on a monthly
basis It went to 241 incor
porated cities in the state,
whose combined population
now totals 1.482.668
The funds come from
motor vehicle registration
and operator's license fees,
gasoline tax, use fuel tax.
