Independent Bank announces merger
The boards of direc tors of
the Independent Bank of
Sandy and of Willamette
F alls State Bank have
agreed, in principal, to a
merger ot the two banks
The merged bank, which
will have total assets in ex­
cess of $16 million, will be
called The Independent
Bank of Oregon
The merger must be ap
proved by the shareholders
of both banks and by state
and federal re g u la to ry
authorities The merger
should be completed by Sept

quartered at Fort Belvoir,
Va., and played at the
Presidential Inaugural Ball
at the Shoreham Hotel and at

from the area between
Eugene and Portland and
are under the direction of

of Albany, band director.
