He is survived by his w ife;

Cornelius of Roseburg; a
son, Randal of Portland; two
sisters, Georgia Danielson
and Ardyth Reynolds, both
of Eugene, and seven grand
children.
They lived in Montana

The Oregon Liquor Control
Commission reported this
week that liquor revenue
d is tr ib u t e d d u rin g th e
1979-80 fiscal year amounted

crease of 7.62 percent over
the previous fiscal year.

brought in more than half its
goal
Revenue D irector Robyn
Godwin said last week the
departm ent has collected
>21.7 m illio n in delinquent
state taxes in the firs t five
months of the 10-month cam
paign. That is 53 percent of
the target amount of >41
m illion.
The accelerated collection
program was approved by
the special session of the
Oregon L e g is la tu re la s t
August to increase state
re v e n u e s . The re v e n u e
department began the col
lection speed-up Sept. 1 and
w ill continue through the end
of the biennium, June 30.
“ We’re o p tim is tic about
reaching our goal,” Godwin
said. “ We have been averag
ing about >4.3 m illio n in
delinquent tax collections
each month. At that rate, we
w ill exceed the goal set by
the Legislature.”
The Legislature also ap
proved an estimated tax pro
gram during last August’s
special session. Individuals
who don’t have enough state
tax w ithheld fro m th e ir
wages or who aren’t covered
by withholding. wHl have to
estimate and pay part of
their 1981 income tax this
year, rather than waiting un
til the following year.
