‘The Curious Savage’
Bookbinding class offers ancient art

In the Christian era of the
Middle Ages, bookbinding
became an art as artisans
showed their veneration for
Christ with meticulously
crafted books of scripture.
That ancient art — book
binding — attracted a
Sandy woman when she
was in the Peace Corps in
Turkey and now she would
like to share what she’s
learned with other com
munity members at the
Sandy Community School.
