Good food and sunshine was in abundance at the annual Pioneer Picnic Sunday.
Pioneers enjoy food and memories at picnic
An estim ated 150 mem bers and friends of the Sandy Pioneer
Association turned out under sunny skies for the group’s annual sum m er
picnic at Nelson Park Sunday. The group feasted on home baked goods
then moved over to the stage area for a business meeting and musical
program. Fred and Mildred Decker were crowned “ King and Queen’’ in
a special ceremony. The Mt. Hood Tim berliners provided entertainm ent
for the gathering with several old-time renditions of popular songs.
