Howard predicted that
water would be found at a
depth of 85 to 95 feet and that
the flow of water would be
about 40 gallons per minute.
The extra 20 gallons obtained
from the well were an added
bonus for the foundation.
Howard has been at his
part-time trade for 50 years.
“ 1 started when I was 19
years old I had a few guys
show me how to do it but it
was a natural thing with me.
My dad used to do it.”
He said only two of the six
boys in his family could
witch for water.
He said people “ run me
ragged” with their requests
for his services and his

‘‘ I figured they’d get it

Howard said It took him
“ about a half an hour to find
water.”
Foundation members were
excited and happy about the

is more than our other three

water tapping talents
“ There's a certain amount
