What's Cooking?
Baked salmon,
strawberry chiffon pie
Baked Salmon
6 to 8 pounds fresh salmon
Stuffing:
h cup butter
1 cup chopped onion
4 cup grated carrot
1 cup mushrooms
2 cups bread crumbs
1 beaten egg
Chopped parsley
1 4 tablespoons lemon juice
2 teaspoons salt
4 teaspoon garlic powder
4 teaspoon marjoram
Melt butter and saute onion.
Add balance of ingredients and
mix well. Stuff salmon. Tie or
fasten with skewers.
Wrap in foil and bake one
hour at 350 degrees Serves 8 -
10.

1 tablespoon sugar
4 teaspoon salt
1 can niblet corn, drained
1 cup canned tomatoes,
drained
4 cup dry bread crumbs
2 tablespoons melted butter
Make white sauce of first
three ingredients. Add salt and
sugar, then corn and tomatoes.
Pour into buttered casserole
Cover with buttered crumbs.
Bake at 350 degrees for 40
minutes.

1 (10 ounce) package frozen
sliced strawberries. thaw’ed
1 (3 ounce) package berry
flavored gelatin
4 teaspoon salt
3 egg yolks
1 tablespoon lemon juice
3 egg whites
4 cup sugar
1 baked 9 inch pie shell
Drain juice from berries. Set
berries aside, measure juice
and add water, if necessary to
make one cup of liquid. Pour
liquid into sauce pan.

son of the first pastor of the Evangelical Lutheran Mission
of Sandy, the Rev. H.H. Kopplemann. He’s pictured here

Youngsters adopt
grandparents
Every child should have the chance to experience a
special relationship with a grandparent.
At least that’s the philosophy behind a Sandy Com
munity Schools program which will allow families without
nearby grandparents to adopt one or two of their own
The Community School is sponsoring the program in
cooperation with local nursing homes. Young people in
terested in adopting a grandparent will plan activities and
parties to share with senior citizens in local nursing
homes
The first organizational meeting for the program will be
on Monday, Jan. 17, from 3:30 to 4:30 p.m. at the Sandy
Community School trailer near the Sandy pool
