The Spinning for Beginners
workshop that w ill be held at
C la c k a m a s C o m m u n ity
college, w ill be just that, an
emphasis on the beginning
steps of the spinning process.
“ 1 tried to start an advanced
class in Molalla last fall but it
wasn’t successful. I think more
people need to know about the
basics," explained spinning
instructor. Barbara Ireland.
The workshop is designed to
demonstrate fleece, sorting,
washing and carding for the
beginner. Mrs. Ireland w ill use
a full sized spinning wheel and
the drop and Navajo spindles in
her demonstration.

Ground beef turnovers
The soy sauce, sugar and
catsup add interesting flavor to
the ground beef filling in these
turnovers.
4 cup chopped onion
4 cup chopped green pepper
2 Tablespoons cooking oil
1 pound ground beef, round or
chuck
24 cups biscuit mix

Beat three egg whites until
stiff.
Pour syrup

Add 4 cup Hawaiian Punch
Concentrate and 14 cups
coconut. Beat until stiff. Drop
by teaspoons on wax paper.
