Nell's Notes
Pilot commutes from
Sunriver to San Fran
By Nell Howe
1 hope everyone had as
wonderful a Thanksgiving as
we did
We missed Jovce and George
as we always do during the
holiday time
Or course we miss them all
year, but especially at this
time. They were spending
T hanksgiving
at Joyce’s
brother s in Georgia
Lolita and Glenn Pound and
their two children dropped in on
us on Sunday They have
moved from California to
Sunriver and are loving it.
Glenn flies for TWA and
commutes between Sunriver
and San Francisco. So don’t
complain about driving every
day from here to Portland.
Had to laugh, they th oi^ht it
was really something that Dave
drove ev ery day to Portland. Of
course Glenn flies, but even so,
it takes time.
He has a huge glider at
Sunriver, and keeps askii« me
if I am going up in it. No way,
they had enough trouble getting
me to take my first plane ride,
both motor and jet, and they
For tho mon who has
everything, buy a
Smoko Detector for
Christmas
are never in any way going to
get me up in something without
a motor
I'd probably sink it anyway.
Makes a good excuse Dave is
ready anytime, and he can go,
but I w ill watch.
This year I have even sur
prised myself and have a great
deal of my Christmas shopping
done For me that is amazing
If I could just find out what my
children want for Christmas it
would help.
It doesn’t seem possible that
they could have everything
they want, I don’t, and I'm a
great deal older.
Anyhow, they haven’t come
up with any great thing for me
to get them yet Have to keep
nosing around.
