Hood CC Ml Hood Community College Theater A rts w ill open "Charley's Aunt" at 8 pm , Friday, Dec 3. in the College Theater The comedy, the third play «< the season, concerns two Oxford College students who persuade another student to impersonate Charley's aunt. Everything progresses nicely, if humorously, until the real aunt shows up, and the plot thickens, This Friday’s performance w ill also be a benefit for the MeRe ('enter in Gresham Tickets for this benefit are tax deductible Tut Hart, college instructor, is handling the benef11 performance details The play continues Saturday, Dec 4. and Dec 10 and 11. Appearing in various roles are: Sarabeth Shedeen as Donna Lucia, the real aunt, Meg VanZyl as Kitty Verdun, sweetheart of Jack Chesney. played by Paul Carroll. Juli Nelson appears as Amy Spettigue, Charley Wykham's sweetheart as played by Grant Housworth Mr Spettigue. Amy's uncle, is being played by Neal Skibinski. Dan Sanders is Sir I* rancis Chesney, Jack's father, and Dan Cathcart plays Hrassett, the butler. (Photo by Debbie Ogle) DA says county is free . of illegal massage parlors TTie D istrict Attorney of Clackamas County has an nounced that his county is now e n tire ly free of massage parlors of the type that are continuing law enforcement problems in Washington and Multnomah Counties District Attorney Roger Rook said that a county ordinance 'a fte d by his office has been very helpful in regulating sauna businesses. "We are the only jurisdiction in the metropolitan area that has completely eliminated massage parlors that specialize in sexual activities," Rook said. The D istrict Attorney said that his office had confirmed that the last of the businesses was closed within the past 6« days. Scores are based on a possible 1,015 m erit rating points. In their rating of the counties, commission members consider the fa ir itself, the year around use of the fairgrounds and how well they fit the needs of the community. The two fairs with scores of more than 800 points are Josephine County, with 819 points, and Lane County, which had 805 points The others with 748 points or more are: T illam ook County, 787; Clackamas County, 782; Deschutes County............. 777: Douglas County, 774; and Coos County,748. The first annual Mt. Hood C o m m u n ity C h r is tm a s Program w ill lx* presented for everyone without admission cost as a gift to the community from the Christian churches on the mountain. It w ill be held on Dec 15 at 7:30 p m at the Lion's Club Building The title w ill be the same as this column, "Go Tell It On The Mountain" which is a quote from the Bible. Practices for the two plays and choral and band groups have been held at Welches School and several area homes. The final week rehearsals will be at the Mountain Players stage in the L io n ’s Club building where the per formance w ill be on Dec 15.
