Computer error alters
rate recommendation
A computational error has
been discovered by a member
of the Oregon Public Utility
( ommissioner's staff which
lower» U h - PUC Matt recom­
mendation from 19 (i per cent to
17 7 per cent in the Portland
General Electric rate caw.

cent
The error was discovered
when PUC staff personnel
reviewed worksheet* used in
ikterm m m g their projected
estimated power cost for PGE
Power cost is based on the
projected loud forecast and the
umount of purchased and
generated power it will take to
meet that foceeaat. The error
incurred in U h - recording and
totaling ol the numerous
figures in the calculation
Upon discovering the error,
corrections were sent to all
purlieu affected by the findings
by the PUC counsel, assistant
