the engagement of their daughter. Lesa. to Garry
Yeager, son of Mr. and Mrs. David Yeager. Sandy. Both
are graduates of Sandy High School. Miss Wallace in 1972
and her fiance in 1969. The couple has planned a June 28
wedding at the Sandy Assembly of God Church.

The following recipe provides
a delicious Lenten main dish.
FOUR WINDS CASSEROLE
4 cup chopped onion
4 cup chopped celery
1 can (8 4 oz.) sliced water
chestnuts, drained
1 Tablespoon oil
1 can (7 oz.) tuna, drained,
flaked
2 Tablespoons minced par­
sley, or 1 teaspoon dried par­
sley flakes
1 can (104 oz.) condensed
cream of celery soup.
4 teaspoon curry powder
4 cup light cream or milk
1 large can (5 oz. > chow mein
noodles
Saute onion, celery and water
chestnuts in oil until onion is
soft. Add tuna and parsley, stir-
fry about one minute. Combine
soup, curry powder, cream;
stir in tuna m ixture and
noodles, reserving 4 cup
noodles Pour into buttered
shallow one-quart casserole or
14 qt. casserole.
Top with reserved noodles
Bake in oven preheated to 350
degrees for 35 to 45 minutes
until crisp and lightly browned

but substituted 4 lb ham­
burger for the tuna and it was
very good I just cooked the
hamburger with the sauteed
vegetables until it lost its pink
color and proceeded according
to directions
GRAHAM
CRACKER COOKIES
16 single graham crackers
4 cup nuts
14 teaspoon salt
1 can Eagle Brand sweetened
condensed milk
1 teaspoon vanilla
1 (6oz. i pkg chocolate chips
Crush crackers, add all
ingredients in bowl. Mix well.
Spread evenly in buttered

degrees for 25 minutes. Cool

Here's a new recipe using
Betty Crocker cake mix.
A PPLE KUCHEN
4 cup butter or margarine,
softened
1 pkg. Betty Crocker yellow
cake mix
■2 cup flaked coconut
1 can (20 oz.) pie-sliced ap­
ples, well drained or 2 4 cups
sliced pared baking apples
4 cup sugar
1 teaspoon cinnamon
1 cup dairy sour cream
2 egg yolks, or 1 egg
Heat oven to 350 degrees. Cut
butter into dry cake mix until
crumbly Mix in coconut. Pat
mixture lightly into ungreased
oblong
pan,
I3 ” x9"x2 ” ,
building up slight edges. Bake
10 minutes.
A rrange apple slices on
warm crust. Mix sugar and
cinnamon, sprinkle on apples
Blend sour cream and egg
yolks; drizzle over apples
(Topping will not completely
cover apples.)

brown. Do not overbake. Serve
warm. Serves 12-15.

paper towels, for the apples and

Substitute 1 can (29 oz.)
sliced peaches, drained on
paper towels, for the apples and
1 package Betty Crocker White

ning a chili dinner March 15
from 5 to 8 p m. in the Boring
School cafeteria.
Ticket prices are $1.50 for
adults, 75 cents for students in
the eighth grade or under, and
a special fam ily rate of $500
per family
Proceeds from the dinner will
be used for an upcoming PTA
project.

This is the sixth year as chef
for Boughton, who is an
amateur gourmet cook. When
asked for his recipe he just
smiles and invites everyone to
support his church's annual
senior high group benefit.
Some of the success of the
annual affair belongs to the
youth of Smith Memorial who
provide ther annual feast
