He and his wife, Laura, moved to Pinedale in 1971. Born in Cedar Rapids. Iowa, Crippen was 84 when he died at the Veterans Hospital in Salt Lake Q ty , Utah, Dec 23, following an illness of several months. He was a m em ber of Gresham W orld W ar I B arracks 2814. He also belonged to the A m erican Legion and Veterans of Foreign War in Gresham Crippen served for two years with the Army during World War I in Europe. Survivors include: his wife; a son, E d w a rd , A rizona; a daughter, Shirley Ham es, Alhambra, Calif.; a stepson, Kyle Brewer, Pinedale; and a stepdaughter, M rs. Corcoran was born in Cin­ cinnati, Ohio, the son of John and M ary Corcoran. He died Jan. 15 at Veterans Hospital in Vancouver, Wash. Corcoran served in the Navy from 1943 to 1945. He was a mechanic for A M F machines at various bowling lanes for many years. Before m oving to Portland he lived in Seattle. For the past 4 >4 years, he worked at Eastmont Lanes in Gresham. He is survived by his wife, Laura L .; and daughters Deana Lee McManus, Deniece Mc­ Manus and Darlene McManus, all in the Navy. Interment was at Willamette National Cemetery, Portland.
