W EIG • «arCNCM« H T WATCHERS Welches students rock mountain The Midnight Express is a rock group composed of Welches grade schoolers for med in October who work every Tuesday and Thursday mor ning in the music trailer U te new group debuted at the Welches basketball tournament in D ecem ber, playing “Satisfaction" and “ House of the Rising Sun " They also "electrified” the audience at the Welches Christmas concert, Dec 19, with their hard-rock version of “Jingle Bell Rock " Now, the group is busy working on several rock tunes, including "Back in the ^ .S .S .R .” (Beatles), “Satur day," “Crockadile Rock," and “ Good-bye Yellow Brick Road” (Elton John).
