benefit pays $50 for each month
of fu ll-tim e undergraduate
college studies, and up to $35 a
month for other studies, based
on one month’s entitlement for
each month of m ilitary service
to a maximum of 36 months.

veterans, and veterans of
service after July 1, 1968, who
received the Armed Forces
Expeditionary Medal or the
Vietnam Service Medal for
service in overseas trouble
spots and combat areas.
They must have been Ore­
gon residents for one year im­
mediately prior to their ser­
vice, and they must be Oregon
residents when they apply for
the benefit. There is no ap­
plication deadline.

for a donation of $1.75 per
person
In addition, the Lions will
give away prizes of hams and
turkeys for the horse-shoe
pitch, tirk e y shoot, and pitch
and putt golf. Young customers
can try their skill at the B-B
shoot or the dart board to win
prizes also.
