SAFEW AY BAKE S H O P New classes will begin in September. Barbara Fleisch- man will instruct ceramics. A minimal fee will be charged for equipment and supplies. There will be no charges for in struction. An arts and crafts class, specializing in inexpensive yet practical crafts, will be in structed by Marje Jacoby. Supplies and materials will be furnished by the center. Signup sheets for classes are at the center There is no lim it on class enrollment. Do you need a ride to the doctor, grocery store, or to other Sandy area businesses’ Sandy Senior Center’s mini bus, and a host of volunteer drivers with their own cars will be able to serve your tran sportation needs Special trips to the Gresham M a ll, Lloyd Center, and Washington Square are being planned for this fall. Instead we have scheduled a special showing of two Walt Disney movies at the Sandy Theater; “ Snowball Express” and “ Worlds G reatest Athlete” . Parents having questions about the opening of school are asked to contact the building principal. Registration of students new to the district will be Monday, Aug. 26 at 1:30 p.m. First graders who did not register in the spring are en couraged to reg ister now. Grades one, two and three should register at the Firwood Building. Grades four, five and six should register at the In termediate Building. Grades seven and eight should register at the Upper Grade Building. Tuesday, Aug. 27, teachers new to the grade school will report for an orientation meeting. Brosseau, 31, was arrested, charged and lodged in the Clackamas County jail last week while driving under the influence of intoxicating liquor. He was arrested at the scene of a one-car accident on High way 211. P h ysical Education Changes for 1974-’75 .0 Starting Sept. 3, all seventh grade students will have P .E. everyday for the first nine weeks They are expected to bring P .E. clothes on Sept 3 and will be issued a P E basket to store clothes. For BI.50 the student will be issued a lock for their basket and at the end of the year a refund of BI.25 wiU be given when the lock is returned. Students are not allowed to bring their own locks for P .E . Locks will be available on Sept. 3 in the P .E . locker rooms. The last three weeks of the grading period will be swim ming. The second grading period will be eighth grade P .E. starting with swimming Again locks and baskets will be available. UNIFORMS Boys: Plain white “T ” shirt; royal blue ath letic trunks; w hite sweat socks; tennis shoes. Girls: Royal blue and white striped “T ” shirt, royal blue nylon stretch shorts; white socks; tennis shoes (preferably white). These items may be pur chased locally.
