C harlene is a travel agent with Sandy Travel S erv ice in Sandy and the European trip was taken to help her in the travel business as well a s to be a vacation. She told the m em bers of the Sandy A rea C h a m b er of C om m erce Tuesday one of the reasons for her trip w as to “ a c q u a in t the lo c a l tr a v e l agent with som e of the more popular spots in E u rop e.” The following is C harlene's version of how the trip went: by L y th a M a lc o m Flow ers for the breakfast table? ROME — throw ing a coin in the Fountain of T revi, seeing the Sistine Chapel, attending Mass in V actican City at St. P eters, clim bing 300 plus sta irs to the top of the B asilica dome, receiving the P o p e’s blessing, viewing the ruins of th e Rom an Forum and Colosseum, eating lots of lasagna, dining-dancing at Tivoli and consum m ing lots more wine. Seeing and learning about the restoration of all th e g rea t works of a rts and buildings which w ere and alm ost ruined d u rin g th e 1969 flo o d s of FLORENCE and buying some of th eir m osaic jew elry. Trying to snap a picture of the leaning Tower of P isa, before it alm ost gave you the feeline of tiDDine W I T Monte Carlo.
