Colleen Park recently returned
after participating in the Annie
Famose Summer Ski Camp at
Mammoth Mountain, Calif.
M ore than 300 students,
ranging in age from 8 to 16,
attended the school in the
C a lifo rn ia reso rt town of
Mammoth Lakes.

HUCKLEBERRIES
We have already had some
calls about huckleberry picking
in the District The berry crop
on this district doesn't look like
it will be very good this year
The huckleberry plants are just
now starting to show small
green berries and it will be mid
August before the majority of
the crop is ready We’ll keep
you posted on where the big
ones are, if we find any

Each morning the students
were out of bed and at break­
fast by six The gondolas began
operation at seven and the
racers p ra c tic e d on-snow
slalom and giant slalom skiing
until rioon Afternoon activities
included free time, physical
training sessions and ski clin­
ics. The students had an op­
portunity to view their skiing
techniques on video tape
following dinner each evening
In 1920 there was one divorce
for every 7 marriages in the

Board by members of the Board for 1973-74 Ray Novotny was
elected vice chairman. Other board members are Keith Bowman,

WARD, JR were married Saturday evening, July 14th at the
Hoodland Park building, with Mormon bishop, Lyle Zaugg per­
forming the ceremony Karla is the daughter of Fred and Dana
Thornberg and Robert. the son of M r and Mrs. Robert Woodward

attended by her sister Teresa, who served as maid of honor

A lovely champagne reception followed the ceremony where a

before moving to Washington, D C. where Butch is attending
school
