Student housing facility fills need at Mt. Hood CC

endorsed plans for the con
struction of a second Adult
Student Housing (ASH» project
at its Sept 12 meeting
The first ASH project (150
apartment units» opened for
occupancy in June. 1971 It was
full prior to the start of the ‘71
fall term
I t ’s located west of the
campus across Kane Hoad
Since September. 1971, ASH
has had a 95 per cent occupancy
rate
Presently, there are about
400 student applications for
housing at the original com-
plex.

day care center for students
and staff in temporary trailer
facilities About 30 children can
be cared for.
Including the day care center
with the ASH project would
double the number of children
able to be served
