at the college Students may

classes at the first class session
if space permits
Tuition is 17 per credit hour
for m-district residents and 110
per credit hour for out-of-
district residents
If the exploratory classes for
legal assistants have good
enrollment. Mt Hood officials
would like to see the program
star, on a certificate or degree
granting basis in the fall of
1973
All classes will be approved
by the Oregon Bar Association
prior to their inclusion in the
curnculian
In addition to the legal
assistant's courses. Mt Hood
Community College offers a
two-year program for legal
secretaries leading to an
associate of science degree
The
program
combines

general education classes The
goal is to provide students with
the skills, knowledge and a t
titudes required for a beginning
secretarial position in a law
office
Principles of jurisprudence,
phraseology and the necessary
technical
vo cabu lary
are
provided to establish the en
vironm ent the student w ill
encounter in a legal office

evaluated in connection with
the legal assistant's program
now on the drawing boards
