Clackamas County w ill get $1,225,000.41. Regional Forester Rexford A. Resler had anticipated the lower receipts, and last M ay a le rte d the G overno rs and State Treasurers >,f Washington and Oregon. Lower stum page values, soft m arkets, and low- level home construction were factors, Resler said. T h e p aym en ts m a ile d to treasurers of the two states represent 25 percent of the receipts from all resources and uses of the National Forests, in clu d in g tim b e r h a rv e s t, grazing, minerals, recreation, power, and other land use. Payments are proportioned according to National Forest acreage, with counties using the money for public roads and schools.
