Many of them afford some leisurely overnight trips. How about some quick access high country for your hike: You can drive to Devil’s Meadow Campground (be careful, though, as this road is rather narrow and quite dusty in spots). This puts you near the top of Zigzag Mtn., where you can camp for one night. The next morning you have a variety of hiking trips available to you. The Cast Lake Trail is a short hike through alpine meadows. Or you can take a longer loop trip by hiking to the Horseshoe Ridge Trail and down to the West Zigzag Mtn. trail, thence back to your car at Devil’s Meadow. ’S OPTOMETRIST Office Hours 9 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Daily Closed Thursday and Sunday 114 W.
