Rockwood squeaked by Sandy 3-2 June 22. David Hudgeons fanned 13 hitters but was backed with only four hits by his Sandy tea m m a tes. Hudgeons collected one hit and so did Jay Hartke, Jeff Gagner and Brad Paluck. When Sandy tra v eled to Reynolds Monday, June 28, they pounded out a 13-9 victory. The Sandy team scored 11 runs in the first inning but Reynolds came back with six in the bottom of the second inning. Sandy fought to hold the lead as relief pitcher Mike Uskoski nailed down the victory. He struck out eight batters in protecting the victory Dan Dodson started for Sandy. Sandy punctured Reynolds pitching for 15 hits. Collecting two hits each were Gagner, Dan Dodson, Don Dodson, Paluck, Mike Meyers and Jeff Nambie.
