2 THB SANDY (Or«.) POST Thurs., Nov. 20, 1969 (So«. 2) Hoodland Extension Unit The Hood-Land E xtension Unit held their regular meeting last Thursday at the Lions Hall. We had an excellent attendance including som e new members. As always, a delicious luncheon was served by the hostesses. D ee P fenning and Faith Fowler gave a most interesting and enlightening lesson on the Care and Use of the Sewing Machine. It is amazing how many places on a sewing machine can be overlooked when it is tim e to oil and grease BRIGHTWOOD OIL CO. Furnace Sales 4 Service Stove Oil, Furnace Oil, Fuel Tanks, and Installations it. They also gave a most in teresting demonstration on the use of all the attachments to a machine. So many people never bother with the attachments because they look so com plicated. We found out just how simple they are to use and how many things they can be used for. The next regular meeting of the unit will be held on the second Thursday of December. This w ill be the annual Christmas party, and the public is invited. We now have a baby sitter and this serv ic e is provided free to you, by the unit. The December meeting is strictly a fun meeting. Lun cheon will be served, and a gift exchange held. Everyone is to bring a gift, of $2.00 value, or something they have m a d e - gift wrapped and ready to be exchanged. A great time to 1 meet all the gals that are there, and to make many new friends. 6 JOAN GRIFFIN receives new Zenith TV set from Hank Dalpez manager of Horner's Hoodland Park Plaza Super Chief Market.
