East Multnomah Fire Stations
Open to the Public Saturday
All fire stations in East
Multnomah will be open to the
public Saturday in conjunction
with fire prevention week.
Captain G eorge Howland,
public information officer, said
the public is invited to come to
meet their firemen and learn
about the fire department.
Fire stations that will be open
are Dist. 2 at Parkrose, 106th;
Dist. 10 at East Multnomah
County

D ispatch
Center, 192 SE 174th; Station 1,
1500 SE 122nd; Station 2, 134th
SE Foster ; Station 3, 133rd NE
San Rafael; Station 4 , 186th NE
Halsey; Station 5, 1927 SE
Mt. Hood Community College
will be offering a class withing
te adult enrichment program
this fall for those who have had
experience in vocal or in­
strumental groups.
The orchestra group will
meet each Monday evening 7-10
p.m. in OE-3 on the college
campus. There will be no
auditions required for ad­
mission. The orchestra will be
conducted by John Ager.
Persons interested in the
choir will meet each Tuesday
evening 7-10 p.m. in OE-3 under
the direction of Hal Malcolm.
After fall quarter, the
groups may perform in the
com m unity
for
various
program s. For further in-
formation, call the Creative
Arts Division at the college,
665-1131.
Retired Persons
To Hold Meeting
The American Association of
Retired Persons will meet on
Tuesday, Oct. 21, at the Senior
Adult Center, 50 N.E. Elliott.
A potluck luncheon will be
served at 12:30 followed by a
business meeting at 1:30.
Those attending should bring
their own table service. Coffee
will be furnished.
Anyone over 55 is welcome to
attend the monthly meetings
held the third Tuesday of each
month.
